BTI’s Rants and Ramblings: Where are All Our Former Players? (2010-2013)

I did these posts a couple years back and got a great response, so I thought it might be a good time to do a little updating.  As UK fans, we love our past as much as we do our present and future, and we love to keep up with our former players.  But after 10 or so years, sometimes it becomes difficult to find our where these guys have gone.  Many hang around in the state, but most do not.  So, I did a little digging and found out the whereabouts of nearly every player who played in the program from 1990 on.  Today, we will look at the players from the 2010’s.

As you will see, there are a few players who I couldn’t find any recent information on and if anybody knows anything about these guys, please put it in the comments section.

2010
John Wall: Playing for the Washington Wizards
Demarcus Cousins: Playing for the Sacramento Kings
Patrick Patterson: Playing for the Toronto Raptors

I’m seeing a pattern here but I can’t quite put my finger on it.

Like this “where are they now”, but could be better if you simply listed each year’s complete roster then what all players of that year are doing now. Not just the ones we already know about or can find on social media pages.

Hey Barry, take a minute and think about what you just typed. This is a compilation list for the express purpose of saving the rest of us the trouble of looking up social media pages or doing other research. That is the whole point. It also already includes all of the players he found information on. Come on, Barry, think.

If you listed each year’s complete roster you would have dozens of repeats every year. That would be pointless and a waste of time. BTI’s “last year here” system is way better/

Stacy Poole, forgot all about that kid. Checked his stats, still not doing anything.

Not only is Stacy not doing much at Georgia Tech, but his brother Solomon has been close to a complete bust there so far as well.

Sure. Ever play pickup ball? I do every week. When the starting center for my old high school team guards me (He’s 6’9″, and played college ball) I can’t do crap. When Bob the orthodontist guards me, I look like LeBron (not really, but you get the point). Dude played against SEC every day. Now he plays Poop State.

Maybe I am crazy but I wish we still had Harrow at UK. I know he wouldn’t be our starter this year, but I think he might have blossomed in a role off the bench, like Poythress is doing this year. I think a year of action with the spotlight not shining so bright on him would have done him well, and we could use his experience off the bench this year. The kid is a little soft mentally, but he does have talent, and he seemed like a good kid. I am glad he is doing well!

Musehobo – Probably the funniest comment I’ve read in a while. Bob the orthodontist, Poop State..hahaha.

Blueblood – I think that as well. With the pressure off I bet he would’ve done much better. But honestly, I like how Polson is doing. He gets in there, plays hard, sufficient D, no turnovers, hits a few threes. Jarrod will go down as a fan favorite.
