Brooks, Maxey, Sestina and 88 other Wildcats make SEC First-Year Honor Roll

First-year student-athletes at the University of Kentucky shined in the classroom with 91 Wildcats occupying spots on the Southeastern Conference’s First-Year Academic Honor Roll.

To make the 2019-20 First-Year Academic Honor Roll, a student-athlete had to maintain a 3.0 GPA (among other requirements) in their coursework from the 2019 summer semester through this past spring term in 2020.

Tyrese Maxey, Keion Brooks and Nate Sestina made honors from the UK basketball program, while Amani Gilmore, Jared Casey, Brandin Echols, Nik Scalzo and Jalen Geiger represent Mark Stoops’ football program.

Tyrese Maxey put in the work. Wish they could all be like him.
