Brian Long carried Kentucky in the first seven minutes, per CBS broadcast

b-long

Brian Long came off the bench early in the game to score seven of Kentucky’s first nine points, according to the CBS broadcast. I must’ve missed Long’s three field goals, but congratulations to him on the new career-high.

The walk-ons have played big roles in Kentucky’s last two wins. Sam Malone scored 11 points against Vanderbilt last Saturday, if you remember. I don’t remember.

How does this continue to happen?…Oh right it is CBS Sports…Still can’t believe CBS went to the Duke game while the UK game was still on if you were outside the Lexington area? WTF

Whenever this happens I always make it a point to call the station and bitch like heck just so they know that anytime they do this to a UK game they are going to get a ton of complaints.
      Sometimes I call twice.

And when you call, I hope it’s to CBS in New York, because the local affiliate has little to no choice in what the main network feeds them. It’s their screw-ups, not the locals who are in the same boat as you are.

Do we know for a fact that they didn’t do this on the CBS affiliate in Lexington (WKYT)? If they didn’t, then there was a feed available where there would not have been a cut to the Duke game for the other Kentucky CBS affiliates and the local affiliate would indeed have had some control over it. Otherwise, no.
