Kentucky’s matchup in the Sweet 16 has officially been set.

Nine-seed Kansas State defeated UMBC 50-43 tonight to advance, setting up a Wildcat vs. Wildcat match at 9:45 p.m. on Thursday night.

Kansas State defeated Vanderbilt on the road earlier this year, along with Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, TCU, Texas, and Georgia. They also lost to West Virginia, Texas Tech, Kansas, Tulsa, and Arizona State, among others.

Time to head to Catlanta.

Let’s get this money.

I would bet a winning Powerball ticket we will be the late game with Loyola/Nevada on the undercard. Probably tip around 9:30.

We keep playing defense the way we have the rule of #71 will get us past these fake Wildcats.

Rule of 71 didn’t apply in Cincy – Nevada game yesterday.

Vanderbilt’s Dad did say he would be ready for tourney. Everyone else said sweet 16. Still don’t feel confident he’ll play.

Right now we’re playing great. If he’s able to play again (physically and psychologically), it’ll be great to have his energy, rebounding and 5 fouls. Hopefully we won’t even need him.

Vanderbilt who??? Just keep him out. We are better

Han….did you watch the Davidson game? We did not play well, we were just lucky to be playing Davidson who is a bad team. We did look better vs Buffalo but should, it was freakin Buffalo. Could be the easiest path for any team ever to a FF. Good thing as this is the year we needed a break. The 2 best conferneces in the ACC and Big 12 each have 4 teams left, half the tourney, but almost all on the other side of our path. We may not face a top 30 team until title game if we can get there, that is insane. Big 12 had 7 teams in, 4 left. The 3 losses are by a combined 14 points with 2 games as overtime losses. SEC had 3 teams beat by that margin with Bama and Auburn beaten like a drum. Clemson could have beat Auburn by 50 today if they wanted to. I know Auburn had an injury but so did Clemson.

Fake UK fan BBNdude is so mad he can’t see straight. His dog is probably still hiding under its bed. Hey Slater, looks like the Cards have a clear path to the Final Four… in the NIT! When will they play a top team? Way too easy for them. LMAO!

Not too impressive without Wade. I expect them to have their all-conference guard back next week.

We’re the highest seed left in our region. I hope that doesnt put the pressure on our young kids. I liked the underdog role

Remember when you said we were going to the NIT? Remember when you said we’d lose in the first round of the NIT, and then said that about this tournament? Remember when you said Cal can’t coach? You suck.

There is now no 1 or 2 on our side of the basket. Best seed we could face on the way to the title game is now 3 Michigan.

The South Region is karma biting the NCAA on the ass for trying to screw us over year after year! Suck it, Emmert! Now we get to have a regional in Atlanta that is shockingly reminiscent of an old UKIT (the Cats, one lesser power conference opponent, and two mid-majors).
