BJ Boston named Naismith Boys HS First-Team All-American

After current Kentucky players and coaches dominated the SEC regular season awards this morning, one future Wildcat also earned All-America honors at the high school level.

Following a standout senior season, 2020 five-star guard and Kentucky basketball signee B.J. Boston was named a Naismith First-Team All-American on Tuesday.

Outside of Boston, several other Kentucky targets made the list, most notably Jonathan Kuminga (2nd Team, 2021), Greg Brown III (2nd Team, 2020), and Paolo Banchero (3rd Team, 2021).

  • BJ Boston – Sierra Canyon (CA) / AOT Running Rebels (EYBL)
  • Cade Cunningham – Montverde Academy (FL) / Texas Titans (EYBL)
  • Jalen Suggs – Minnehaha Academy (MN) / Grassroots Sizzle (UAA)
  • Evan Mobley – Rancho Christian (CA) / Compton Magic (3SSB)

      He’s going to be great but I am really intrigued by Terrence Clarke – I think he will be fantastic. Of course, I’m thrilled we have both of these guys!!
