Kentucky’s BJ Boston is one of the must-watch freshmen in college basketball’s new class. Last week he was named a Preseason All-American by both CBS Sports and Stadium, and now CBS ranks him among college basketball’s 10 most important freshmen for the 2020-21 season.

In the accompanying explanation for Boston’s inclusion in the conversation, writer David Cobb writes, “Boston has a chance to be the program’s most productive newcomer since Malik Monk averaged nearly 20 points per game as a freshman in the 2016-17 season.”

It’s Kentucky, so you know freshmen will play key roles. But BJ Boston has a chance to be the program’s most productive newcomer since Malik Monk averaged nearly 20 points per game as a freshman in the 2016-17 season. The Wildcats are replacing their top six scorers from last season’s roster, and Boston is regarded as a natural scorer. He’ll be under the national microscope from day one and stay there until Kentucky’s season concludes.

Click here to see the complete list, which includes UK freshman opponents at Auburn, Kansas and Texas, as well as Oklahoma State’s Cade Cunningham, a narrow miss for Calipari in the class.

Kentucky’s Terrence Clarke did not make the top 10 freshmen list, but he is expected to light up the scoring column too.

Now can we get a schedule already???

Clarke is the best wing in Nation. It was funny he was ranked behind Kuminga until he commits to UK then he falls out of top 2-3 players in nation!? How does that work again? I mean really. I love Clarke is being disrespected and slept on. He will be one of our most dominate players to ever play for CAL! Its funny everyone was saying he was the best all around scorer in all of high school until he commits to UK then crickets and bunch if fake news liberal bullshit on him cause he was t Duke,UNcheat, or ku bound. Grunted if he was on one if those rosters he would be listed too 5 player in the Nation! Its so obvious it makes me want to gag!! I hate basketball national media as much as liberal mainstream fake news media!!
