Once again, Kentucky has a stable full of five-star freshmen, but only one earned preseason All-American honors from NBC Sports’ Rob Dauster. Dauster named Bam Adebayo Third Team Preseason All-American in his college basketball preview, predicting the 6’10” freshman will lead the way for the Cats this season.

“Who is going to be Kentucky’s leading scorer this season? It’s tough to figure out, right? Our money is on Adebayo, their 6-foot-10 center. He’s a freak athletically with more of a face-up game than he gets credit for. Given the lack of perimeter shooting for the Wildcats this season, Adebayo will be asked to carry much of the load.”

Even though I think Malik Monk will be UK’s leading scorer this season, there’s no denying Adebayo will be a monster in the post. To check out the rest of Dauster’s All-American teams, click here, or just watch some of Bam’s highlights below:

“Lack of perimeter shooting” Really? Monk isn’t Jamal Murray, but he can shoot, plus Willis is back and Hawkins should be getting decent minutes off of the bench.

Love the shot of the goal shaking, as if in fear, after one of Bam’s rim-rattlers. He will be fun to watch. What’s the status of his foot injury? Out of the boot, I hope.
