Bam Adebayo diagnosed with neck strain, doubtful for Game 2

Last night, Bam Adebayo left Game 1 of the NBA Finals in the third quarter with what appeared to be a shoulder injury. The Miami Heat just announced that, after undergoing an MRI, Bam has been diagnosed with a neck strain and is doubtful to play in Game 2 Friday night. Heat guard Goran Dragic is also doubtful after suffering a plantar fascia tear in his left foot.

Before leaving the game, Bam had eight points (2-8 FG, 4-6 FT) and four rebounds. The game prior, he had a career-high 32 points, 14 rebounds, and 5 assists to help the Heat clinch the Eastern Conference finals. If he doesn’t play on Friday, Anthony Davis could have another field day inside. Last night, Davis finished with a game-high 34 points (11-21 FG, 10-10 FT) and 9 rebounds in the Lakers’ 116-98 win.

Get well soon, Bam.

Game might be blacked out to spare the public. Or come with a “May disturb some viewers” warning.
