Ashton Hagans one of Rivals’ Standout Sophomores

They say college basketball players improve the most from their freshman to sophomore seasons, and so far, that rings true for Ashton Hagans. Kentucky’s point guard was included on a list of top sophomores by Rivals’ Eric Bossi yesterday for his play thus far.
“Hagans still needs to become more of a threat as a shooter for Kentucky, but he’s become much more reliable at the free throw line and has taken better care of the ball, even though he could still improve there,” Bossi wrote. “In roughly the same minutes as his freshman season, he’s been more productive across the board and has been trending up since a home loss to Evansville.”
“I made some statements to him, like, you know, we could say there are better point guards in the country, but you got to tell me who you’re talking about. Because when you defend the way he defends and you’re as tough as he is, he went 12 assists, two turnovers. He’s shooting 47% from the floor and he missed all those threes early.”

This is some kind of joke really the kid is ok but in no way is he some elite player he has been beat so many times this year alone it’s not even funny. He is a horrible finisher at the rim he has missed more layups than I have ever seen a guard miss this team is littered with very average talent we have one guaranteed 1st round pick.
