Ashton Hagans’ night ended early at LSU.
The sophomore point guard scrambled for a loose ball late in the second half at Pete Maravich Assembly Center in Baton Rouge. No foul was called as Hagans fell hard to the hardwood.

Following the TV timeout, Hagans attempted to re-enter the game. Unable to move fluidly with 7:16 on the clock, he called for a sub and was tended to in the locker room. Five minutes later he returned to the sideline with ice on his left leg, officially ruled out with a left thigh contusion.
After the game John Calipari provided no further updates on Hagans’ status. Immanuel Quickley and Coach did share one sentiment: UK needs Hagans on the court.
“If he doesn’t play that’s a big piece that we would be missing, obviously; SEC Defensive Player of the Year,” Quickley said. “We need Ashton. He’s a big part of what we do offensively and defensively. He hit a lot of threes today, so I’m happy for him. He’s just a really big part of what we do so we need him.”
