An Update on the Case of the Stolen Calipari Basketball

Yesterday we found out that someone stole a John Calipari-signed basketball that was to be auctioned off for charity.  Justice has been served in an unlikely fashion.

Dustin Lueker is a name familiar to many around the University of Kentucky.  UK students know him as the stats teacher that never lets them out of class early.  KSR Football Podcast listeners know him as the namesake of “Lueker’s Lousy Question.”  Today, he’s known by all as a selfless human being.

After hearing about the story, Lueker drove to Frankfort and donated his own autographed ball to Family Abuse Services Incorporated, allowing the charity to collect their donation from the silent auction’s highest bidder.

Do your part BBN and thank him for being awesome, @lueker.  From now on, “Lueker’s Lousy Question” will exclusively be referred to as “Lueker’s Awesome Question.”

Someone better hook this young man up for his charity. Good stuff.

That was a very nice thing for Mr. Lueker to do. I still hope they find the jerk who stole the ball in the first place.

I’m sure Mr. Lueker will get another Calipari signed ball but at least the charity was able to auction off a signed ball.

You know Cal is going to take care of him for that gesture. In any case, I love that response. Good to see people with character representing.
