davisboogiedrake

UK’s annual Alumni Charity Game will take place on August 24 at 6 p.m. ET, and this morning, UK announced that tickets will go on sale Monday, July 28 at 10 a.m. ET.

All seats are reserved and priced at $101 (premium lower level), $31 (lower level), and $16 for premium upper level. Tickets can be purchased at the Rupp Arena box office, online at Ticketmaster.com, at any Ticketmaster Outlet or by phone at 1-800-745-3000. There is an eight-ticket limit per person. All orders will have additional fees attached. All proceeds from the game will go to charity.

For the first time ever, the game will feature a team of UK pros vs. a team of non-UK pros, making the matchup possibilities endless. We’ve heard that some former Louisville players may participate, along with some former Florida players…let’s hear your ideal lineups in the comments.

I really love this idea. Now it’s okay to root against one of the teams!!

Why in the HELL would we allow Louisville or Florida players to be involved in this?

Because it makes it more fun. A team full of UK pros playing against Sisco Garcia, Russ Smith, Chandler Parson, Al Horford, and Joakim Noah would be AWESOME

Would it even be possible to put together a “competitve” game by having a team of UK pros up against Louisville/Florida pros? I know they dont play hard defense in these types of games but, on paper, the rosters would have to look heavily weighted in favor to the UK pros. I cant come up with 7/8 pros between those two teams that could win a real dog fight against the likes of Wall, Cousins, Davis, Bledsoe, Jones, Patterson, Noel, MKG, and on and on.

While I agree with UL, Florida has actually produced pretty well. They could have Noah, Horford, Parsons, Brewer, Mike Miller, Bradley Beal, Haslem, Bonner, and David Lee. They would struggle at the PG. Maybe bring back good old white chocolate to run the point Jason Williams. Maybe UL can throw Garcia and Russ Smith out there.

UK wins because of the guard play.

I like the format. This isn’t going to be the Globetrotters vs the Washington Generals. Whoever this team of non-UK pros is, they’re going to try to win.

Just don’t LOSE like they did to Laettner’s villains team! That spoils the fun.

So exciting! The more villainous, the better! I would not only love the opportunity to see our beloved Alumni again, but to be able to boo Noah or Parsons again — priceless!!!
