Choo choo! The Kentucky men’s basketball team continues their Big Blue Caravan tour across the bluegrass today, but this time they’ll be traveling in style. Following today’s satellite camp at Franklin County High School, Coach Calipari and his players will board the R.J. Corman train back to Lexington. They’ll also make a stop in Midway. Fans are welcome to greet the team at either the Midway or Lexington stop, where players will be ready for pictures and autographs.
The train will stop in Midway at 5:30 (Darlin Jean’s, 2014 N. Gratz St.) and Lexington (Central Kentucky Line outside of Rupp Arena, 133 Buchanan St.) at 7:00.
The team got their first taste of old-school transportation earlier this morning. Before boarding, they met with some of the R.J. Corman families for autographs and photos.
Meeting and signing some autographs for some of the R. J. Corman families before we head out to our Satellite Camp in Frankfort. Remember, we’ll be stopping at Midway (5:30 p.m.) & Lexington (7 p.m.) to sign and take pictures with all of the #BBN as a part of the #BigBlueCaravan. pic.twitter.com/LhBtFsYFNZ

They even had their “first team meeting” aboard the train.
Media members will also be allowed on the train, so I’ll be bringing you plenty of photos and quotes throughout the afternoon and into the evening. Follow along with me on Twitter, @MaggieDavisKSR, and check back right here, Kentucky-Sports-Radio-dot-com, for all the information you need.
