Add Dan Dakich to the 40-0 train
During the Syracuse/Michigan game tonight, IU troll extraordinaire Dan Dakich tossed his hat into the 40-0 ring, telling Mike Tirico “I think Kentucky is going undefeated, I really do. I just don’t think anyone can beat them.”
Later, Tirico asked if Dakich thinks Wichita State can also go undefeated. “During the regular season they certainly can. But, look, only one of them is going to do it,” Dakich said. “I think Kentucky’s going all the way, I’m saying the whole thing. ’76 Indiana record goes away, Kentucky undefeated.”
Can’t tell if serious? Can’t tell if messing with us?

Oh yeah, he’s 100% serious, serious about getting more face time on ESPN when UK drops its first game.
Hedging his bets. If he’s wrong, he’s so happy he doesn’t care.
Easy. If we lose, he was joking / trolling us and will blame the stupid BBN for saying it. If not, he will take credit.

Ban any undefeated post! Thought most around here learned that lesson from last year.

Nonsense! Last year we had virtually no experience. This year, we have it all! If EVER there was a team built to go 40 – 0, it’s this Ky team!!
The IU undefeated season was 32 games. Now days a team has to play 34 games before the tournament even starts. What IU did was so much easier than any team today could do with so many teams with so much talent. If, and a big if it is, UK went 40-0 that would dwarf what IU did. In short what IU did would be deemed small potatoes.
