Adam Zagoria says Barry Rohrssen to Kentucky is “done”

UP CLOSE_Barry Rohrssen-Manhattan-A347-014

Over the weekend, there were rumblings that Pitt assistant Barry “Slice” Rohrssen would fill Orlando Antigua’s spot on the UK basketball staff, and now Adam Zagoria says it’s “done”:

Kory Henry wrote a post yesterday about Rohrssen, who was the head coach at Manhattan before Steve Masiello took over. Random fact: he’s also an actor, and played a part in “Glengarry Glen Ross,” a 90’s drama starring Al Pacino, Alec Baldwin, Kevin Spacey, Ed Harris, and Jack Lemmon. So, there’s that.

Come on down, Slice?

A man called ‘Slice’ with a big gold watch, a big gold diamond ring, a three piece wide pinstripe suit and slicked back hair style…he sure does not look like Kentucky to me, New Jersey-New York but not Kentucky. Wonder if he recruits with a CDW? Maybe we can get him a golf shirt and tone down the jewelry a bit? Welcome to Kentucky ‘Slice’.

So does this mean we should familiarize ourselves with Derrick Jones and Cheick Diallo?

Is his source the same one that told Rex “it’s done”?

So is his source Rex Chapman? That was Rex’s source.

I thought the same thing when I read this. Sadly, we can no longer consider Rex as a source for UK basketball information. He really blew it this time. I don’t care if it was ego, funny, whatever…we can no longer believe what he says since he sees it appropriate to tweet rumors.

Bro needs to go to Graves Cox and get some wardrobe advice. He looks like he fits people for concrete shoes.

Is Cal going to force him not to dress better than the head coach?

Only people I have ever seen dressed that way were affiliated with the mob. Is Slice a ‘plant’ from the NCAA? I would be afraid to be recruited by this guy and tell him ‘NO’.

Who is going to fill Coach Strickland’s spot? Could this be a place for Tony Barbee?

Tony Barbie sucks! Why does people keep worrying about him. He only got maybe 2-3 4 star recruits at auburn and didn’t really have a eye for talent.

At first I was like, “Who is this guy?” Then he was like, “F— YOU, that’s my name!! You know why, mister? ‘Cause you drove a Hyundai to get here tonight, I drove an $80,000 BMW. That’s my name!”
