Aaron Harrison impresses in day 2 of Orlando Summer League

courtesy of nba.com

After a somewhat shaky performance yesterday (2/13 FGs made), Aaron Harrison bounced back to lead his team, the Charlotte Hornets, to a win 80-70 over the Pacers in the Orlando Summer League.

Harrison faced many of the same struggles as he did yesterday in the first half, taking good shots that never seemed to fall, but he lit up the tiny Rollins College gym in the second half, scoring third-most in the contest and dishing out the most assists with 15 points, 5 boards, and 6 assists. He showed that he could play effectively on the ball by using picks and netting step back J’s–exhibit A:

If he can keep stuffing the stat sheet like that, don’t be surprised to see Aaron do work in Charlotte next season, especially considering the departure of Charlotte star SG Courtney Lee and PG Jeremy Lin.

He shot 6-16 FG (1-7 from 3s), I wouldn’t really call that an impressive performance considering he’s playing mostly against guys who won’t even make a nba roster.

Harrison wasn’t great today either my man. Dude was jacking up some awful shots in the first half and spent more time complaining to refs about pure nonsense. Wasn’t a good look. To me, he looked pretty darn selfish out there. Really hoping for his sake, but I’d be shocked if he is on an NBA roster in fall.
