4 Reasons Kentucky Is In For A Brawl With The Vols

1. Tennessee Needs To Make A Statement

Coming into the year the Vols hoped to land a top 25 ranking and roll into March looking to make some noise. Instead they limp into SEC play with a record of 11-5 and an early SEC loss to Texas A&M. Much like Arkansas the Vols need a signature win and a hot streak to have any hope of hearing their name called on selection Sunday. Expect them to bring as much fight as the Razorbacks which could be another problem since:

2. The Vols Match-Up Well With The Cats

In Jordan McRae, Jarnell Stokes, and Jeronne Maymon Tennesse has three guys capable of matching up with the Cats on both ends of the floor. Just recall what the Vols did to the Cats last season in Knoxville when they delivered their biggest win over the Cats ever by winning 88-58. Kentucky has a new crop of horses in the stable that should will be bigger, stronger, and better than UT. Still on paper Tennessee looks like a team that will be able to hang with the Cats not a good thing when you need a win and come out of the gates slow.

3. Kentucky Looks To Bounce Back

Following the disappointment in Fayetteville the Cats now have a chance to right the ship with three straight home games. All three are easily winnable but they will need to do something they have struggled with so far in the SEC, put the foot on the gas. The boys in blue will need to come out of the gate firing and put UT away because you don’t want to let any team hang around but especially when that team is a rival.

4. The Rivalry

What has always made the Kentucky Louisville game more special than Duke-Carolina? Many would point to the fact they only play one time a season versus multiple times when you’re in the same conference. Well, this season Kentucky will be playing Tennessee just one time in the regular season which means bragging rights between the two states will be on the line. To many in the state UT is the biggest rival on our schedule and a win would give them something to crow about until football kicks off next fall.

What do you think the score will be during tomorrow’s 12pm brawl?

Cats win. I think poythress is gonna have a HUGE game. With him playing with more confidence, I think he’ll get a monster dunk on stokes and the wildcats will FINALLY turn the corner with a beat down on those dirty snitches! 88-51!

The same guys that said my dad’s wouldn’t be wingmaning it out on the town. The same guys that have covered up my existence and the fact Ive been forced to marry Jurich in a dress. The same guys that ignore the fact that dad did to WKU exactly what they said he doesn’t do anymore when they defend him. The same guys who said he would do it to UK because that’s what he does. The same guys who said he never would and they wouldn’t allow him to ever coach in this town again. The same guys who said 15 seconds doesn’t count. The same guys who ignore the fact that had dad stayed at Kentucky he would have had at least 3 more titles by now. The same guys who argue Kragthorpe then ignore Joker and Gillespie. The same guys who act like it’s a shock when a player gets suspended, should have happened when they get let back on the team, and shocked again when they get re-suspended. The same guys who new about Behandsonem’s underage dorm fest and then was surprised he was cut from the team even though they burnt the tape. Those guys……or are you talking about someone else.

Vols walking into oncoming traffic of the MACK Truck we’ve all been waiting on. Kentucky makes a statement, in some form or fashion; I don’t care what the score is. We win.

Interesting to see who gets in foul trouble first….Randle or Stokes? The cats win but if Randle has to sit because of fouls, it might be a tight game.

Truthfully no Kentucky fan can trash talk the Vols after last season’s performance in Knoxville. Kentucky was blown out by over 30 points!

It looks like Cal is dialing up another 10 loss NIT season like last year.

Cal rode the coat tails of Anthony Davis and MKG and got lucky one season. His one and done BS is starting to float to the surface

UK is not capable of blowing out anyone in the rest of the SEC season. Every team will keep it close for most of the game. I look for this one to be real tight with the game decided in the last minute and that could spell trouble for the Cats because of POOR ASS FREE THROW SHOOTING. Cats get lucky and win 71-69.

Tennessee is our biggest rival. Since the beginning. Louisville is our legislatively
mandated opponent that has grown especially for those that live in Jefferson County and only made more significant for the rest because of Pitino.
