Kentucky continues to explore the high school ranks to find potential prospects to join four-star point guard Nolan Hickman in the class of 2021.
After extending offers to the likes of Hunter Sallis and Bryce Hopkins in the last week, Kentucky added yet another Wednesday evening by offering 2021 five-star forward Daimion Collins.
“Beyond blessed to receive an offer from The University of Kentucky,” Collins said in a tweet late Wednesday evening.

Collins, a 6-foot-9, 210-pound forward out of Atlanta, TX, is considered the No. 22 overall prospect in the 247Sports Composite Rankings and is ranked as high as No. 20 (Rivals).
The five-star forward joins Jaden Hardy, Patrick Baldwin Jr., Sallis and Hopkins as 2021 prospects boasting Kentucky offers.
In terms of potential interest in the Kentucky program, the Wildcats are expected to move near the top of the leaderboard for Collins for several reasons. For starters, the five-star forward has been rumored to want to stay closer to home, with Texas and Oklahoma previously being seen as the two likeliest destinations. That being said, once UK’s interest began ramping up, the speculation and momentum soon shifted toward the Wildcats as one of the lone programs able to pry Collins away from the Big 12 favorites.
On top of being a blue blood powerhouse program, it also must be noted that Jai Lucas – who is expected to head to Kentucky as a special assistant to the head coach/recruiting coordinator – has served as Collins’ lead recruiter at Texas, a move that is expected to carry serious weight in his recruitment.
With Lucas expected to leave Texas, Oklahoma is currently seen as the slight favorite, with Kentucky looming as a serious option as contact continues to ramp up with an offer on the table.
Until then, check out some of Collins’ most recent highlights below:
2021 Daimion Collins creates highlights every time he plays. Wildly impressive vertical athlete along with + mobility. Still raw but has been continuing his improvement every time I watch. Impressive flashes of touch, reading rotations better, passing flashes. Fun prospect. pic.twitter.com/qX3wE1Yf96
