After convincing wins at Arkansas and at home against Vanderbilt last week, Kentucky moved up three spots in the AP poll and remained steady in the new USA Today coaches poll.

The Cats find themselves at No. 20 and No. 19 in the Week 12 rankings:

Texas A&M is now a top-five team and the favorite to win the Southeastern Conference. The Aggies are the only other SEC team to make both lists.

who do you think should be #1, OU has a better resume than UNC imo

I agree. OU should stay #1. In a year when everyone is losing OU lost as the underdog in a hard road game, then went out and beat down the previous leader of the Big 12 standings at their place. No one has a better resume than them either.

As we speak, Indiana is having rings made to commemorate being ahead of UK & Duke in the polls.

So, UK loses a few games all on the road or at neutral sites, and almost drops out of the top 25. But, Duke and MSU lost 3 games in a row (2 at home for Duke and 1 at home for MSU) but they’re still ranked??? MSU is barely out of the top 10!!!

Duke is going to be ranked if they’re 0-28, and they’d get at least a 9 seed out of that season “on potential.”

Like Donald Trump in the polls, Coach K could shoot somebody on national TV and not get NCAA sanctions.

These polls are less than worthless.

What planet are we on that Texas A&M is the favorite to win the SEC and a top 5 team? This is a weird year for hoops. Can we get back to Kentucky utterly dominating everyone soon please?

We split two weeks ago and plummeted in the polls. We win two in a row this week, both in blowout fashion, and stay about the same. Duke and MSU both lost 3 games in a row, and somehow Duke is still ranked, and MSU really didn’t move.

Duke should have fallen out of the top 25 altogether. If we lost 3 games in a row (including 2 at home), we would have fallen out, and never gotten back in.

Ole ratface working his ratings voodoo again….we have Kansas and A+M left on the schedule…..lets prove our worth on the court. If we win in Lawrence and College Station…..big…BIG if…..but….

I think the problem is we don’t look like we should be that good without a strong inside game, or a consistent one at least. So much of these are about timing anyway. MSU has four losses and three in a row but they ended the week with a very strong win against a top 10 team. Our losses have come at the end of the week and all four of those teams might not even make the tournament.

    Just beat Kansas.
