After yet another slow start for the Cats Saturday against the Vols, Kentucky finally snapped out of their early game funk on the shoulders of Andrew Harrison.
A couple long range bombs and crafty moves around the rim from Andrew later and Kentucky seemed to be playing like the team we all thought they could be.
Yes they could have played better and reduced the turnovers but the performance by Andrew Harrison is surely something to be proud of considering the point guard fills the coach on the court role.
Throughout the night, Andrew showed us a bit of everything from a pair of threes with no hesitation to aggressively attacking the rim to earn his points. A couple nice crossover dishes to help set up his teammates just adds padding to his impressive stat line of a team leading 26 points on 7-13 shooting as well as two rebounds and three assist. The free throw struggles we have grown accustom to as well weren’t as factor tonight with Andrew shooting 10-10 from the stripe. The team shot 23-24 overall.
Andrew played well and the Cats walked away with another conference victory over Tennessee 74-66. Well-done Andrew. With play like this consistently, I can’t name a single team that will want to play Kentucky.
