I know this to be very “late” to say the least. We were ranked way down the totem pole as far as the SEC is concerned. I have traveled many towns through the South. Lexington has no clue about Southern Hospitality let alone the Culture and Class that comes with that. Go ahead and pound me with comments. Until the city of Lexington can gain the “True Southern Vibe…Laid Back Honest College Town Feel…we are only the northern most SEC in the conference. Let’s face it our campus looks like a bunch of after thoughts based upon the era it was built. Point being… take a look a Ole Miss, Alabama, etc…make fun of the South, however they were able to match the design and make it flow. I love UK, however to make football work there needs to be a mindset change. NO Lex is not the most awesome city. Starkville, Tuscalossa, Knoxville, Oxford, Baton Rouge, etc..were tailgating back when most Lexitonians were poopin yellow. Lex has to step it up and think beyond basketball if they want to get things going. Just sayin…guess I rambled long enough

No idea how #3’s comment pertains to this post, but that’s not why I comment.

#2 John – while I agree, it’s also sad that I have the fourth comment 2 hours after this post. Perhaps our own fans could take an interest and compliment academics as well?

Congratulations to ALL of our UK Student Athletes, not just the honor roll young men and women. Proud of everyone who completed their classes and passed while participating in their respective sport. Good luck to you this summer and fall. May you continue to make your families, coaches, and fans proud of your efforts on and off the field.

    GO CATS!

Only 7 football players on a team with 100 kids?

Quite the scholars Noel and Goodwin are. Hell Nerlens was barely eligible and now we’re expected to believe he’s a strong student? How many hours? What classes? This is a joke.
