YAHTZEE! Nick Richardson commits to KENTUCKY!

Nick-Richardson

How about a little YAHTZEE to go with your lunch? Rivals’ Justin Rowland is reporting that four-star OT Nick Richardson has committed to Kentucky. Here’s some info about our newest offensive tackle:

Offensive tackle

6’4″, 285 lbs.
Westerville, Ohio (Westerville Central)

Rivals: #19 OT, #7 player in Ohio
247: #37 OT, #21 player in Ohio
Scout: #34 OT
ESPN: #64 OT, #47 player in Ohio

Offers: Bowling Green, Cincinnati, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Maryland, Miami (OH), Michigan State, Ole Miss, Toledo, Vanderbilt, West Virginia
Twitter: @bigdaddyrich_74

Richardson chose the Cats over Vandy, becoming the 22nd commitment of UK’s 2014 class. He joins current OL commits Derrick Kelley and Jarret LaRubbio in the class, and quickly erases any leftover sting from Brady Taylor’s decision to go to Virginia Tech last night.

Wach him work on hudl.

The staff has “confirmed” it in their favorite way:

Say it with me, BBN…O-H-MAR-ROW!

Ohhhh no we missed out on that 3 star guy. Awww shucks ohh well you know seeing as how we’re Kentucky football and all and nobody wants to come play for us guess we’ll have to just settle for a 4star instead now.

What a great, great pickup. Quality on top of quality. Looks like Michigan State was his best offer. I realize beating Vandy doesn’t sound like much but he’s a 4-star talent and if UK is going to get out of the SEC cellar then they have to beat out Vandy and other schools for these top-rated players. A 4-star offensive lineman from Ohio… love it.

I know beauty is in eyes of the beholder but I don’t get the wide disparity on the ratings for this young man. Rivals list him as the 7th best player in Ohio and ESPN says 47, that’s a huge difference. Makes you wonder who is doing the real evaluations on these players. GBB!!!

So glad for his sake he came to UK. If he went anywhere else he would have automatically became not worth a s&@* and we wouldn’t want you anyway. Good job son you will be a all American here.

I LOVE the Yahtzee routine!! Keep em coming coach! AND, we all should be well aware of the fact that recruiting isn’t over just because a kid commits. There is a long way to go here folks. Lets hope we don’t lose any of ours, and maybe get a Brady Taylor to flip. Everybody wanted him it seems, and it must have been a tough call for him, cause he had everybody here fooled. Even Barker thought he was on board. We may wind up with him in the end.
