I love Willie and hope and pray he sticks around for a while for his own good and BBN’s. That said, the way some fans(?) are harrassing and criticizing the kid on Twitter, I definitely would understand if the wants to clear the heck out of here. Really wish some people would grow up and remember these are kids. Social media eats its own sometimes it seems.
Everybody has been talking about how we really needed experience on this year’s team but many are now trying to run off everyone who would have a little experience for next year. What’s up with that? Can’t have it both ways. We need leadership.
I’ll be cheering for him next year no matter where he plays.

See here’s the thing with WCS. He openly mocks and argues back with fans on Twitter. If you do that, people are going to respond to that. It’s just the nature of Twitter. It’s like when your friends are giving you sh*t, if you let it get to you, it’s going to increase tenfold.
Fans should never write these guys, but Twitter isn’t the place to talk back to the fans. It brings out the worst in people.
I can see uncle matts opinion about the fancy song.
“Just be nice to the gentlemen, Fancy, and they’ll be nice to you.” And she gets a mansion AND a New York townhouse out of it. I bet Willie Cauley-Stein wouldn’t do as well.
I think Cal should require all players social media accounts should be deactivated, I hate that the fans send messages to these players.
I think what most see is the D league “USUALLY” isn’t just to get a guy some minutes. They wouldn’t need those minutes if they were good enough to get minutes in the league.
IF they NEED more work in the D league, why not stay with Cal and get your work done here? Cal knows what it takes and I feel like they’ll get more one on one work here and when they become pro, it’s all about them to get it done. Everyone already refers to UK as the NBA minor league team, so why not stay around here instead of being a player known to go in and out of the D-League?

With my Basketball Knowledge, here are evaluations:
Willie Cauley: Has tremendous upside, can run and jump like no other big man, but has NO MOVES on the post. He isnt the force Nerlens is on defense and essentially on offense he can only do what others creat for him. Essentially he isnt a threat at all on Offense. Has no jumper. He has a ton he needs to work on and can learn alot from Dakari who is a big man that has a great low post game.
Alex Poythress: Physically looks like he is ready. However his size is that “tweener” size and he doesnt have the post game to play the 4 but doesnt have the handle to play the 3. A year going up against Randle changes everything.
Archie: Needs to develop basketball IQ. Bottom line.
Nerlens: Good as Gone!

WCS would probably the the first big man off the board next year. That’s a HUGE difference from the money he’d be getting this year. Makes so much more sense to come back for another year.

#57 Agree with most of that. The problem with thinking, oh I’ll just go to the D League and be back in the NBA in a year, is that it won’t be the case for WCS. You’re 100% correct that he has NO moves on the offense. No 10 footer. No post move. Can’t back the defender down. He’d struggle just in the D League at this point. Come back for a year and make sure you don’t burn out of the D League, which I feel he would if he leaves this year.

Does he want to help his family out for 1 contract and then be out of the league because his skills aren’t developed or come back and improve so he can make an impact in the league for years

If any of the KSR or BBN listeners have not watched Wiggins’ new mix-tape at least once or twice, watch it because it is nasty. Wiggins looks like he is playing on a 9′ goal and a hybrid of LBJ and KD. Dude is f’ing sick!!! I want him in Blue and White.

South Carolina has been on him for a looong time. I think he was favoring them before the new staff came to UK, but things are changing. He likes Stoops and the rest of the staff.
I don’t want to sound like one of “those people” but my uncle is the AD at Conner and my cousin is a former QB for them. I’m a little more tuned in than most. Do with that what you wish.
My Supervisor Played College basketball with Mitchell Wiggins at FSU in 1980 and 1981 and was very good friends with Mitchell in the NBA. My supervisors name is Tony Jackson… They still talk, and Tony keeps telling me, Wiggins will ultimately be at UK.
