University of Kentucky Basketball, Football, and Recruiting news brought to you in the most ridiculous manner possible.

Will Chris Jones score 30 in Rupp Arena?

On this morning’s radio show, a Louisville fan called in to remind us about the Cardinals’ third national championship and to make a ludicrous prediction for next year’s game. According to the caller, we’ll call him “Crazylouisvillefan,” incoming JUCO guard Chris Jones will be better than Russ Smith and he’ll score 30 points against Kentucky in Rupp Arena. Now, I understand Jones will be a good player, but to even suggest he’ll be better than Russ Smith is insane. Smith is one of the best Pitino’s had in red and this particular fan is already saying Jones will be better. And he’ll score 30 points in Rupp Arena against a UK team filled with length and athleticism. Get out of here.

You can listen to that call and a couple other great calls on today’s podcast over at TalkRadio1080.com. We were a little loopy after a long night in Augusta, so the show wanders off a few times to discuss popular topics likeĀ Geoff Bodine’s career as a bobsled salesman and his no-media approach to The Masters.

It has to be the corn in Kansas, right?

    In the spirit of championship basketball and in who influenced him the most, Rick Pitino got a small portrait of John Wooden drawn on his left butt cheek and then another small image of Denny Crum on his right butt cheek. He was excited to show them off to his wife Joann and hurried home. After a few minutes of staring at “Ricks Rump,” she declared, “Well it’s certainly clear that the one in the middle is Calipari, but who are the other two guys?”

    On of the idiot UofL commenters on another thread called Chris Jones the best JUCO transfer in the country, which a backhanded compliment along the lines of “prettiest Duke cheerleader”.

    Only way he scores 30 in Rupp is if the other UofHell guys don’t score at all.

    Final Score: UK 112, UofL/Chris Jones/SlapNuts Pride 30

    Even if Jones goes off Pitino has no one to counter Randle, Johnson, and Cauley-Stein. The real question next year is are both Behanan and Montrezel better than Poythress and Wiggins may render that moot.

    Best he’s had in red… In best do you mean, player that shoots 30 shots a game to get 20 points, because Russ Smith did that an exuberant amount of times.

    not just c.jones, any one single player through out the entire season will not be able to put up 30 points against us. Two main factors: size and speed.

    31.) which title are you talking about? You all just got to 3 so let’s compare those. We won that with actual Kentucky talent “the right way”. Or lets compare our 6th title to your recent one. Why you ask? Because 6 is two times as many as 3. We won with that guy you call your coach who had lots of future pros but I guess that was the wrong way too. Which other title would you like to compare to? We have many others. Congrats on doing it the right way. See you in another 26 years?

    Really L1C4? Then why did pitino hire Marquis Teague’s coach while recruiting Teague and then let him go when Teague went elsewhere? Care to guess where Teague went?

    If you recall, Russ had like 8 points in the final minute to get 30. This was when UK had pretty much quit playing since the game was over. I even had a UL fan admit that.

    31 – Good one. You just used Clint Hurtt to do all the dirty work with your football program. Its funny that Tom Jurich stood by Hurtt’s side as long as he possibly could until the NCAA forced his hand. UL’s football program is as dirty as they come and the world knows that Teddy Bridgewater’s recruitment was dirty.

    What are louisville fans doing here..but anyway food for thought. Since 1913 we played 45 times including the tourney here is the stat:

    KY = 30
    Cards = 15

    Okay, lets look at football since 1912 there have been 25 games between two rivals. look at this one

    KY = 14
    Cards = 11

    So I was recently trolling card chronicle to see just how the fanbase was reacting to losing their 3 best players to graduation/ draft (sidenote it’s funny how UK wins a title last year, they all go pro, yet are using UK to get to the league, yet 2 cardinals have a chance to leave early and be late first round/2nd round picks and they jump at it, and somehow that’s different). Anyways, it was actually stated, and agreed with by many other posters, that they would rather have Terry Rozier than BOTH Harrison twins. I seriously could not stop laughing. Possibly the most delusional thing I’ve ever heard. I couldn’t make this stuff up!

    I dislike the fact BBN is already crowning the CATS as NCAA champs for next season. I remeber the same sort of things being said last year(Alex was next Jamal Mashburn ect.) and look what we got. BOTH fan bases have delusional fans. Only one cardinal has declared early as of this posting. Sometimes I think we get what we deserve because of the vile things BBN say about other schools, the players and coaches on this and other websites. Coach Cal took the high road durring this whole tournament and we should follow his lead.
