Why is there a DeLorean outside the Joe Craft Center?

BIJYHmTCMAAgWPP.jpg_large

Apparently the DeLorean* is outside of the Joe Craft Center right now. CoachCal.com’s Eric Lindsey tweeted the picture above, and has confirmed is a legit DeLorean, right down to the dashboard:

BII5ByRCcAEnkaD

What is it doing there? Has Cal summoned Marty McFly to campus for some important time traveling business? Are the ghosts of Kentucky Basketball past inside giving a lecture to the team right now? Did Willie get confused and buy it thinking it was an eco-friendly car that runs on vegetable oil and solar power? Maybe Cal wanted to travel forward a year to hug next year’s National Championship trophy for a bit.

Why don’t we send Drew Franklin down there to hop in and crank it up to 88 mph to find out?

*If you are under the age of 18 and don’t understand a single word I just wrote, please go watch “Back to the Future” right now.

Just so we’re all aware — the future that Marty goes to, with the flying cars and holographic advertisements, is only 2 years away.

We’ve failed you, moviegoers of the mid-80’s.

8- No. No. No. The date in the movie that Marty went to in the future was Oct. 21, 2015. I’m sick of people posting random dates all over the internet saying, ” … was the date Marty McFly went into the future!”

They have two or three of them that they rent out for people to use. They ARE the ones they used in the movie. They used one in Louisville a few months ago for a video shoot.

The owner of this car lives in Beaumont. I know this because I used to detail this very car, along with the 15 other cars the guy owns. He keeps it in a warehouse off Nicholasville Rd.
