Who Wants Bracketology?

Hey, Lunardi has to earn his check somehow, right?  ESPN’s resident tournament expert and St. Joe’s apologist, Joe Lunardi, unleashed his latest edition of Bracketology for those college basketball fans looking to do a little early trash-talking.

Lunardi, not surprisingly, puts the Cats as a number one seed, along with Syracuse, Ohio State and North Carolina, and predicts UK will start their quest for #8 at Ricky’s Chicken And Brothel in Louisville.  Kentucky opens with the mighty Campbell Camels and then would have to play…well…just look at the picture.

Other notable teams:

3. Indiana
4. Florida
4. Louisville
6. Murray State
6. Mississippi State
8. Alabama
9. Vanderbilt
11. Darnell Dodson
15. Lamar
16. EKU

Yeah well this looks to reasonable to be the actual bracket. They will find a way to put (fill in underrated team here) in our region…we will get screwed no matter what they do.

The funny that about all of these early bracket predictions is is that none of this is even close to what the true bracket will be lol.

Is anyone else concenred about having to face Marquette in the bracket? They have had our number in the tournament in the past. Think D’Wade.

Lunardi is horrible – he gets nearly everything wrong every year on selection Sunday – this one is probably more accurate than the nonsense he’ll spit out in March. For some reason, people give him credit for getting so many teams right – hell, that’s the easy part – the average fan can pick at least 50-55 teams. The hard part is getting them in the right region and with the correct seeds – that’s the part he simply can’t get right.
that being said, figure out the bracket that will screw Cal the most, and that’s what the committe will do – guaranteed.

This Joe Lunardi fellah is suspicious. I mean, I love my bourbon, and I can really put it down when I’m in a foul mood, but this fellah seems to be high on something and up to no good.

Marquette, UCONN, and Baylor all in U of K’s bracket. Meanwhile, O-hi-a State gets arguably the easiest bracket with Kansas, Georgetown, and UNLV. #JoetheJokeLunardi

Good thing this mo-ron is never right, especially this early.

Seems fair: UK, U-Conn, and Baylor in the same region…that’s most of the 1st Round of the 2012 NBA Draft.

Joey Brackets gets almost every school right each year and hits on many of the sights for the top seeds. You all are the morons, not him.

i don’t want to play unc in the final four, and i would rather have any other two seed besides baylor

I agree with 7, they will find a way to screw Cal and the Cats with region and teams to play. Will that ever change?

Does it really matter, especially now? We are UK, it doesn’t matter who we play. We can beat anyone, and we can also lose on a given night. That’s just the way it is.

That’s a terrible bracket for us, Baylor and Uconn would be the best 2/3 seeds. Give me IU as the 3 all day.

I think he forgets that the committee wants Bob Huggins and Cal against each other every year. Also, if we were to go undefeated in conference play, you can bet they would try to put IU in our bracket. It is all about “exciting” matchups and stories to blab about on TV.

How can Murray and EKU be in the tourney? The OVC is the 26th best conference in the nation therefore it’s a one bid league. Even if EKU were to knock off the Racers and win the OVC tourney MSU would fall to where they wouldnt be the better seed in the opening game, probably more like a 10 or 11
