Jared Tucker has been targeted by UK since starting High School, seeing the good and the bad sides of Kentucky football. Today he will be visiting campus for the first time since watching Matt Roark’s Miracle against Tennessee. In a year and a half a lot has changed for Damarcus Sweat’s high school teammate. He has visited all of the Top SEC schools (Florida, Alabama, South Carolina, and UT) but all of the buzz indicates that a decision could happen today.
#BBN lets show @_salutetojared love while he’s on his visit right now!!! BIG news is coming!!

Primarily playing centerfield for defenses at the Safety position, Tucker has great cover speed that makes it difficult to throw down the middle of the field. Safeties don’t often cover WRs one-on-one, but Tucker’s speed and great vertical leap make it difficult for WRs to get open. You have to be impressed with a kid that can not only cover the middle, but can also get his hands in the passing lane of jump ball opportunities that could result in a TD. Like most Stoops recruits, he isn’t the kind of DB to sit back and let the play come to him. The aggressive tackler launches his body towards opposing players, absolutely Stonewalling (I’m pretty sure I’ve heard a coach use that phrase before) the opposing team’s running back at the 2:38 mark.

Number 41 in Ohio but he’s from Georgia. Impressive!
Another 3 start recruit I’m supposed to be excited about? Where are the 5 stars? Bobby Petrino is going to show Kentucky up this year unfortunately.
His arms must be ridiculously long or his closing speed is quicker than the speed of light…How else would you explain that he’s #41 in Ohio, yet resides in Georgia?
Geta Real…get a life.
mike…you must be one of those dudes who thought we were going to a bowl game last year…haha
He reminds me of Winston Guy minus the dreads, and Tucker actually knows how to tackle and intercept passes. On second thought, he doesn’t remind me of Guy.
Look at who he has offers from Get Real. Tennessee, south carolina, florida, florida state, ohio state. Looks like the kid must be doing something right if hes holding offers from schools like that.
He is the 44th best saftey in the nation!!! Do you have any Idea how many football players there are in the country? How many safties? In Jokers previous classes out of 26 secondary guys recruited only 5 were good enough to have a position rating….and you are going to complain about stars? lol…We have 8 recruits so far, of those 8, no one is any worse than 30th at their position. 5 are in the top 25 at their position, 3 are top 15 at their position….so please stop the “only a 3 star talk. Of our 3 star players all of them are rated a 5.7 (5.8 is a 4-star) and of those guys 2, maybe 3 are expected to gain a 4th star.
I’d rather have Darius West and Mike Edwards. But I think this kid is gonna end up at CB.
Mr. Tucker we would love to see you become a WILDCAT!!! GO CATS!!!
I will be very upset if the staff if they drive two 4*’s away for a 3*…
Look at the offers for Christ’s sake. Dude has offers from Florida, Ohio St, Tennessee, and South Carolina, not too mention a couple of other offers from SEC and big named schools. Both West and Edwards don’t have offers of this caliber. Know why? Because Star ratings don’t matter. Talent, level of competition, and what a coaching staff see’s in a young man does. People sound idiotic on here saying don’t take him cause he’s a 3 star. I’d much rather have a 3 star with offers from elite programs like Florida and Ohio State, then a 4 star with much less attractive offers. Not saying West and Edwards don’t have some good offers. But both are from the state of Ohio and Urban Meyer hasn’t offered either kid. Yet he has offered Tucker all the way down in Georgia? Don’t you think Meyer would have locked down the kids in his own backyard if he thought they were as good or better than Tucker? Stars don’t matter. Offers do.
#12 Well said!
i would have to argue against 12. If a kid doesnt fit the scheme ya dont offer him. Which could be why Urban has yet to offer West and Edwards.
