I’m pretty excited Matt is speaking at Anderson County High School’s Graduation. I graduated from ACHS in 2006 and I don’t think we had a guest speaker, but if we did, I’m sure they wouldn’t be as good as Matt Jones. Now for my graduation at UK, we had one of the men responsible for the Doritos Tacos and KFC’s new Boneless Fried Chicken, the CEO of YUM! Brands David Novak.
So when Ryan goes to Waddy, can we have the taco truck there?

You have to go with Wiggins. With Wiggins, you are going to hang #9. With Barker, you still may not compete in the SEC. SEC football is the D-League of the NFL. One player is not going make that big of a difference in the SEC. Even the best player in the class is not going to turn a SEC football team around in comparison to winning a National Title.

I dont get the “Barker or Wiggins” argument, its apples and oranges….
But, I’d take Barker….nowadays an Elite QB is the foundation for a recruiting class. Barker is now thought to be a top 5 QB (Pro-Style) and has numerous connections with guys like Derek Keif and Braxton Berrios along with defensive guys too…. Drew Barker could be the difference between a top 30 class with 4 or 5 four-star guys, and a top 15 class with 9 or 10 4-star talents that will lay the foundation for football.
Also – Drew Barker is a lot better than Patrick. Drew is much more athletic and his mechanics are a ton better….much quicker release….better decision maker….he literally runs Neil Browns offense to a “t”… Very few high school QB’s are mature enough to make checks at the line and work through his progressions from his 1st reed to his 4th option. Barker demonstrates a lot of poise and maturity. Patrick’s release enables defensive players to get jumps and often times “locks on” to his WR. Barker is literally a coach on the field and throws a GREAT ball and very rarely makes a “bad decision”.

There is no doubt this state is a basketball state first. Most parents in this state are sure to sign their kid up for basketball, but only a minority will sign their youngster up for football. In other states in the south, there are way more youngsters playing football in little kids’ leagues. In Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, and Alabama it is very common for a 10 year old to be playing football. It is just not as common in Kentucky to find a 10-year-old boy playing football.

I definitely agree with the results of the study. A lot of stubble is perfect. Masculine but not over-the-top. Plus, a little bit a stubble can look good but can irritate a girl’s skin when she’s trying to get some love! A lot of stubble is softer. 🙂

Football is where UK needs more and better recruits. Honestly, Wiggins appears to be a once in a generation talent that would complete the monster class of all monster classes. However, the more important recruit for the University of Kentucy is Drew Barker. Hometown kid with fond appreciation of UK. Not to mention he is the number one player in the state and has HUGE upside at the QB position. Wiggins will be the number one pick in the NBA draft. Barker could follow in Couch’s footsteps 😉 Football needs to #Rise and Barker is another very important piece to that.

I’m confused. It doesn’t sound like McLemore hired an agent. Maybe I’m wrong, but if his AAU coach took the money and acted like the middle man, technically, McLemore didn’t do anything wrong. Sounds like the blame is on his coach, which was probably their intention all along. It was their way around the rules. To me, Kansas didn’t do anything wrong and shouldn’t get hit with violations.
I could care less if we get Barker or not. Knowing Coach Neal Brown’s offense, we will get plenty of great QB’s wanting to play here.
