“No acts of terror will ever shake the resolve of this great nation, alter that character, or eclipse the light of the values that we stand for. Today we mourn four more Americans who represent the very best of the United States of America.”

Pretty much seems like he is calling the attacks an act of terror considering his second line discusses the loss of four Americans. Those right-wing nut jobs are really trying to stretch the truth on this one.

68,exactly. And this for the middle class stuff is ridiculous. The middle class will pay for Obamacare with at least 7 new taxes (remember that ’08 promise to lower taxes). And who will pay for the ever increasing national debt? middle class. And whose household income is declining? Middle class. And whose take home pay is actually being de-valued by this “quantitaive easing” idea, which has NEVER been shown to have long-term benefit, yet it is repeatedly done. We will all be lower middle class when Barry’s done.

Matt — on the issue of feeling old — we saw Erik Daniels at BBM the other night, and I got really excited and shook his hand and said he was one of my favorite players. A friend’s son next to us asked “Who’s Erik Daniels?” That boggled my mind. It dawned on me that it’d been ten years since Daniels played.

Also, damn shame that he is flying that far under the radar!

WHo have we beaten in the SEC? Tell me about Joker’s road wins in the SEC. Tell me more about Vandy’s better-than-ours recruiting class last year and their top-20 class this year. How many 4-star players has Franklin recruited in 2 years as compared to Joker in 3? Tell me about how much better UK’s facilities are than Vandy’s (and they are). Tell me more about 38-8.

Again, I’m not arguing that Vandy is good, but they’re much better than the 2-10 team Franklin inherited and leaving UK in their dust. You can’t refute that fact, which is my point.

160 — I’m sorry, but as bad as we are I just don’t think they are leaving us “in their dust.” I’m not worried in the least about Vandy in the future. They are certainly a little better than us, but UK is a new coaching hire away from catching them with a chance to past them again on the SEC lower-tier ladder. Just like us, they wouldn’t have beaten one SEC team on OUR schedule thus far and they very well could have been beaten by WKU as well. In addition, they beat a God-awful Mizzou team without their starting quarterback — who left the game in the first quarter with a 6-0 Mizzou lead. Mizzou has proven to be almost as terrible as we have this year. I’m just not impressed by Vandy thus far. Sorry. They have some games left to prove your point but that remains to be seen. They certainly haven’t shown dramatic improvement yet. They have better facilities but they still have a tiny stadium and tougher admission requirements. They aren’t going to become a recruiting juggernaut. Again, when we get a decent coach we will begin to start beating them again.

I love how after the last presidential debate, Matt says this isn’t a political show when callers wanted to talk about it. Today, when he thinks his the liar-in-chief wins a debate then he talks about it non-stop. Typical liberal.

And besides that, even if he did leave in 4 years, if we go by his history (which seems to be your thing), we’ll have actually won something to speak of by that time.

The Petrino thing is less about the many transgressions that make him a question mark and much more about the fact that he will have better offers, one of which he is sure to take. It’s a waste of UKs time to entertain it because they could miss out on a coach they CAN get, and its a waste of energy to keep discussing it.

Georgia Tech’s offense would move the ball against anyone. They haven’t had an issue moving it and scoring against Georgia the last few years. It’s not their offense that is the problem this year. It is the defense.

    278. You choose to not listen to what others have been telling you. His family are permanent residents of the state of Kentucky,he is friends with our current coaches, and he is friends with Joe B. Hall. There is an extremely good chance that he will take the job if offered. There is also an extremey good chance that he will retire from Kentucky because of said factor.

276 — As I said before, you don’t know how appealing being around his family or friends for a few years might be to him and his wife. Unless you are very close to him, I think to underestimate that idea is foolish. For that reason alone I think Kentucky has a small chance. If he has contacted Kentucky expressing interest it would dumb for Kentucky not to follow up on that.
