When Marshall Henderson speaks, we all __(fill in the blank)__

I’m not quite sure how to fill in the blank in the title of this post. Maybe you can help. I just know that when Marshall Henderson speaks, there is always going to be a noteworthy quote or two to take away. The post-game open locker room to the media rule gave a few Kentucky media members a chance to ask Henderson a few Kentucky-related questions. Adam Himmelsbach of the Courier-Journal got a few gems from Henderson regarding Kentucky, Ole Miss and …. himself.  Who needs Joe Lunardi when you have the blessing of Marshall Henderson?

–  “We’re gonna come out and go balls to the wall tomorrow. I mean… I don’t know when the NCAA tournament starts.”

–  “We’ve got to prove people wrong because Ole Miss has been so bad in everything for 103 years, I think it is.”

–  (On Kentucky in the NCAA tourney): “I’d put them in. After playing them? You’ve got to put them in.”

–  (On Noel): “When he played us he single-handedly beat us. We made him the number one pick in the draft even with a torn ACL.”

–  “I’ve been a villain everywhere I go. It’s cool. I like it.”

–  (On his goals for the post-season): “To make a name for myself so I can get this money.”

What a dude.

I want to hate him, and it’s so easy to hate him, because he’s a tool, but he respects BBN & Nerlens, & I have to give him some props for that.

I love him. He plays very hard, he’s passonate about the game, and he respects those he plays against. UK, game he stuck out a hand to lift UK players up, he patted a few on the back. Kennedy says he often cries in the dressing room when they lose. I would like to see a little of that in Lexington.

Deep down, we all wish we had a player like Henderson, he’s got average talent, but he’s got that drive that makes player’s great…If Poy had that, he’d be Player of the Year in a landslide.

Henderson tweeted support for Nerlens the night of the injury. He’s good by me. Still, he’ll probably drift in and out of prison selling meth.

Every life deserves to be treated kindly, but this kid should keep his mouth closed until he becomes less of a buffoon, q.v., wide swaths of our fanbase.

I predict: This young lad will die an early death.

My good friend, Hard Schnellenberger, says the fella is on a collison course – with St. Peter’s gate – and time is the ‘ownsliest’ variable.

I actually based the character of Butthead on Gerald’s dad, who I went to high school with. The crack pipe never falls very far from the house in which it was smoked…..

He reminds me a bit of Rex Chapman. Similar shot, not the leaper Rex was, not quite as good a passer. But he does have a nose for scoring the ball. A white trash Rex Chapman, if you will. But I like him and have respect for him as a player. He did show some respect to the Cats and BBN, so that’s cool.

I’m Pro Henderson. He has some stupid comments, but he’s got ALOT of heart out there. If he was on FL or Lou I would hate him, but being at Ole Miss, I can live with him. He’ll be a beast his senior year down there.

In a just world, Nerlens Noel wouldn’t have been the SEC player who went down with a season ending ACL…..

Hmmm i hated this guy at first but I gotta say I actually kinda like the guy now….just says what’s on his mind and could care less what people think or say about him, kudos my friend…. And let’s be honest he’s very off the wall (I like to think of him as bizarro JJ Reddick) but if our team had half the heart that kid plays with we might have somethin

  33. Marshall Henderson really sucks
    10:37 pm March 16, 2013 Permalink

He is by far the most overrated basketball player in the nation right now. Rex Chamman? Really. They are both white and that is about it. Well he is kind of like Rex Chapman if Rex Chapman sucked.

  34. Mike
    10:58 pm March 16, 2013 Permalink

Henderson likes to talk smack, but he also has the ability to back it up. At least he has a pulse and passion for the game. That is more than can be said about out misfits.

He’s a f”””ing idiot, plain and simple. He peaked in life this year at 22-24, and will amount to jack schtick in the future. He plays like a punk, acts like a thug, and sucks at life.

I hope he gets hurt. Obviously those of you who respect him werent in Nashville to watch him taunt our fans when we was watching our game. I agree with rixter!! Maybe Patrick Young will break him in half!
