Kentucky Sports Radio

University of Kentucky Basketball, Football, and Recruiting news brought to you in the most ridiculous manner possible.

When John Calipari wants McDonald’s, he gets McDonald’s.

Matt just tweeted from the road, saying Calipari popped up in his seat on the bus and asked to find the nearest McDonald’s. So, the Verizon Wireless Championship Tour bus made a pit stop at the Mickey D’s in Martin, Kentucky.

Up next: Perry County Park in Hazard, KY.

And here is some of the fun from Pikeville…

I think the cuteness of girls at a McDonald’s is an inverse measure of quality of jobs available in that town.

Well we all know that Coach is a classy guy, so I think it’s safe to say that he went with McNuggets, and most likely a Diet Coke.

…or, with Lent just passed, he may be having a hard time kicking the Filet-O-Fish habit.

I work in Martin and I would advise Mr. Calipari to not eat anything that comes from that hole!!

Here in Kentucky, Cal popping into your random McDonalds is kinda like the President coming into your McDonalds elsewhere.

I took my kids to see Cal today in Hazard. They will always remember seeing him. This was a class act I’m glad he is our coach. I’m sure a lot of people on this site think the people of eastern Kentucky are a lower life form.We aren’t and I’m glad. Coach gets that.

The current players are getting ready for the NBA. I see former players in Ashland all the time. Quit being ignorant and enjoy #8. The perception of certain parts of the state are distorted enough by the national media. Cal understands this part of the BBN is one of the reasons UK is unique.
