What’s up, Bowling Green? (Thursday Show Thread)

Just close your eyes and pretend you’re there…

After stops in Glasgow and Morgantown, the KSR State Tour of Affiliates pulls in to Bowling Green this morning. The boys have set up camp at The Club at Olde Stone, considered by many to be the toughest golf course in the state. Don’t worry: it won’t get too classy. Ryan Lemond is there, after all.

Yesterday, Miss Catfish stopped by the show, but that’s nothing compared to today’s rumored special guest: the man, the myth, the legend, Kige Ramsey.

Join in on the fun by calling (502) 571-1080 or send a text to the TEXTING MACHINE at (317) 385-5148

I’m an avid golfer and would love to get down there to play that course someday. I will say I’ve seen no tougher course around (in Kentucky or surrounding states) than Victoria National from the tips. That course is downright ridiculous how penalizing it is. I’ve played Valhalla a lot, too, and Victoria National is tougher.

2 — The mayor’s office will really paint UofL in a bad light if the city defaults on its bonds, thus lowering the city’s credit rating. Mayor Fischer will certainly blame U of L for causing unnecessary financial stress on the city. UofL will not want that and will renegotiate the deal because of that. In my opinion, no litigation will be needed.

Usually if you are getting pulled over for something like “failure to signal” it’s because the cop wants to really check something else out. Like they the suspect has an expired license, could be drunk, etc. You don’t get pulled over simply because they want to write that ticket.

173, Hey Jacob, from what I can tell, I would bet my money that you will be really successful. Just remember your dreams at all times and never allow room for anything to distract you from reaching those dreams. Just stay away from becoming an alcoholic, don’t do drugs, and hit the books (even on Thursday nights when everyone else parties). That’s the advice I will give to my own son. I went to UK and have seen my friends develop problems through the years since we went to UK just ten years ago. I mean, you can let loose at times but remember that substance abuse will catch up with you and begin to ruin your life. A lot people forget about their true dreams and get to college and think it’s all about fun, fun, fun, and party, party, party. A lot of people will make you feel weird if you stay clean, but I promise that you will win in the long run. To be a doctor, you will need a 4.0 GPA or just under that to make it into a good medical school. You will never get that good of grades if you are busy partying all the time. Again, just remember that you want to be a doctor and that’s why you are at UK.

If UL takes ownership of Yum! there will never ever be another NCAA tournament game there.

So UofL is going to buy an arena that has proven to not be sustainable, profit-wise? How is that going to help UofL. I don’t know if that’s going to fly.

Can we get Cal to be Mayor or Governor after he retires from Coaching? He knows how to run anything! Cal for President!

This will define Mayor Greg Fischer. Will he get done what is best for Louisville or will he let Tom Jurich boss him around?

UofL is probably afraid that the NBA players would drive to Lexington to see the Cats rather than hang around in Louisville to see the dirty birds.

Whenever I hear the commercial about Mandy taking her son to get his first pistol, I think she should say I strapped him into his car seat and we went to the gun shop.

    251) A lot of WKU fans dislike UK because, as Matt pointed out, they like UofL. It’s a red thing, blue wouldn’t understand.
