I agree with him to the extent that I wasn’t impressed with UK either. But son, you still lost.

He’s right. That offense was pathetic. How is Newton going to fare against a SEC defense? 7 INTs? Chime the “it’s time for the Maxwell Smith era” bells.

your right Mr. Jackson, that’s why we are bottom feedes in the SEC.

11… He pegged us right though.

Any other time I would be right with ya and jump on another teams player talkin’ smack but damn…he’s right. Give him his due this time as we didn’t show up. We lucked up with that “W”.

    Damn, thats embarrassing to say.

Yes, we have returned to the laughing stock of the SEC. He is right. He lost, which makes him look like a bigger loser, but that does not change the fact that he was right.

    Awful, just awful.

#14 – If the leader of Greece gave Obama sh!t about the US economy sucking and pointed out what a bad job he was doing… Would that make the leader of Greece right? Or would it make him look like a douche because the US is still in 10 times better shape than Greece? UK > wku : USA > greece

Do you think our revenue will take a hit? Should we change the shirts from RISE to RUSE? Should we put our future in the hands of King and Roark?

Hey UK, yall might want to bring more people to town – or we ain’t gonna invite you to the bowl game.

(how many UK fans will travel to Nashville, AGAIN, for yet another Music City Bowl?)

Nashville, I don’t think Nashville has to worry about inviting UK to a bowl anytime soon. UK had a chance a few years ago to move the program forward. When Brooks retired the administration should have plunked down $3 million and found a proven head coach who has been to a BCS bowl game. The program was attractive and positives far out numbered the negatives. But no we had to make a statement and give the job to Joker The administration knew UK fans would be satisfied with 5 or 6 wins and a minor bowl game every couple of years And we are and so it goes.

They were pathetic, and yet he, being from the great football producing State of Florida, is playing for one of the most pathetic teams in all of FBS. KABOOM!

I don’t think the coach is the problem, I think its location.

  32. Boyd Baker

I think we might have had a better score last night if two or three catches weren’t dropped. Newton was on the money with some of his longer throws…but other than those two or three plays, Newton and the team stunk it up last night. They were simply missing in action.

21, what do they expect scheduling a game between two teams from a basketball state, IN ANOTHER STATE, on a friggin’ Thursday night at 9:00 PM? Some of us actually work for a living and prefer to not drive 200 miles with gas at $3.70 / gallon for this fiasco. Get real, dude!

26, EXCELLENT post! As much as I like and respect Joker as an individual, at this point he is not ready to lead a Div I football team. He would have done well to be head coach for a while at a smaller school like WKU or Murray State – get some HC experience, and then take his shot at Div I. UK’s administration absolutely squandered an opportunity to really move the football program forward in a real way. We should change the fight song to the Texas Two Step for football games – One step forward, two steps back.

  34. Hard to argue
    11:08 am September 2, 2011 Permalink

Really can’t argue with him here. UK is the embarrassment of the SEC right now. That was pathetic. We can sit here and talk about how WKU is the worst team in the FBS, but I mean honestly, we barely beat them. Its going to be a rough season there is no doubt about that. Basketball needs to get here soon.

If we have a great game against CMU, will everyone at least pretend like you love your team again? Please? We nearly lost to MTSU two seasons ago, and nearly lost to LMU during our break-out season in ’06. Bad games happen. It’s stupid to give up on a team after one game. That’s what ignorant sports fans do. It’s game 1. We’re 1-0. Let’s regroup and turn it around. Geez, why be a sports fan if you’re just going to rap on coaches and players instead of sticking with your team? I’ll be in the stands all season, win or lose. And no, I’m not ready for basketball season just yet. Football will do just fine. Go Cats.

Really people …. did we expect to come out of the gate swinging? Losing guys like Cobb & Locke, Matthews, not so much Hartline, but really … the transition is going to be hard enough. Don’t need to pend everything on the very first game. They will get better … is that really what you guys call supporting your team? The good, the bad, the transitions it happens. Act like respectable UK Fans!

Where were all the “big, fast, SEC-caliber” ballers at last night? What about the famed summer weight and conditioning program geared to making us competitive with the rest of the SEC’s athletes? Sad.

You guys realize that if WKU’s qb was worth a crap and hit his WR’s with 2 TD’s when they were open in the endzone we lose the game?

We suck at football. Always have, always will. We are guaranteed 5 loses every single year being in the SEC. So why doesn’t UK try to make the games fun? Fire Joker, hire Leach and tell him to let loose with his offense.

I agree with all the anti-Joker chants on this thread! Whens the FireJoker.com going to get started. I’m SICK of him…….he took a pretty good thing that Brooks had and has completely mucked it up. He’s a recruiter (not even that great) and thats it! No way is he a HEAD COACH.
This program is in shambles and Joker is the biggest reason….Barnhardt should finally be accountable for something!! At least Tennessee is doing something about their aweful programs (they still beat UK Football)….fired coachs, AD’s and clean house………….UK NEEDS TO DO THE SAME get rid of Barnhardt and JOKER!
