Matt, it’s not hard to understand what Ryan was saying. He misses the big marquee early December games. Quit getting stuck on one minor detail and not listening to what people are saying.
What Ryan is saying is that we didn’t get those matchups this year. So comparing the 3rd saturday of this year is different than comparing the 3rd saturday of last year because last year we came off 2 awesome games so we got our fill, this year we had nothing.

Don’t forget Drew Barker from Conner, he may end up an Elite 11 guy.
Towles went to the Elite 11 camp but didn’t make the final 11. Andre Woodson was a counselor at Elite 11 before his senior year BTW.
They select 25 QB’s to compete at the camp and the Top 11 are selected from those 25. Towles scored 13th at the camp, but did win the passing consistency drill and did extremely well in the 7 on 7 drill.
Kentucky needs to look at PRP quarterback Spencer Sumpter. He was on an AAU team with Kyle Bolin and he took the starting spot from him. Bolin ended up quitting the team because he was not getting playing time.

My wife bought a Women’s UK Football jersey a couple of years ago when we went to the UK – UT football game in Knoxville.
87 CBS had first chance at the game, and turned it down…there was a time when they would have not done…so yes, that is a sign of where the game is perceived by CBS, who is a huge player in college bball broadcasting. Its simple enough for even a UL fan with limited mental faculties to understand.

Instead of talking about how few folks showed up for *one* football game, consider instead the number of folks who have shown up over the past several years for teams that are barely .500. You’re making it sound like anyone who thinks football is important in the state is an idiot and that just isn’t the case. People care about it a lot (a whole lot).

KY sports demographics are not complicated…as far as high school goes, football has the greater interest and attendance (although somewhat skewed since football is always on Friday night or weekends and bball is played at harder days and times to attend a lot)…for college sports, bball is king and garners more of the interest.
