I wrote this at the beginning of the fourth: What a difference a week can make. A week ago we were entertaining dreams of ending the streak against Florida, and now we’re looking for ways to get bowl eligible again. The offense started off hot, but quickly put in one of their worst performances in memory, which lead to a terrible game from the defense. Or maybe the awful defense begat the butter fingered offense. Either way, it was overall a pretty terrible performance by the team and coaches during what looked like the biggest game on the Kentucky schedule. I will be back later to give a more thorough run down, but right now I need some bourbon.
But I recognize that Kentucky started playing better in the fourth. So in regards to that: My friend Joe said it best. “Never forget the last tenant of Kentucky football. Giving you false hope in the fourth quarter.”
Cats drop one, 35 to 42.
Until then, cheer yourself up with this. Troy for quarterback.
