They are running out of ballots in the state that our friendly neighbors to the East simply call “Hampshire.” Tonight is Primary #1 on the road to the White House as we move past the silliness in Iowa to actual voting. Turnout is expected to be huge in New Hampshire as the Obama voters come out in full force to try and knock down the Clinton machine once and for all. Obama is expected to get a victory tonight, but how large it is becomes very important. Win by over double digits and the nomination looks increasingly like it can become his.
As for the Republicans, tonight is the night that John McCain can all but end the candidacy of Mitt Romney, who came to the first two states looking for two victories and may leave with none. Both of these men need a win tonight in order to join Mike Huckabee and Rudy Guiliani (oh yeah, is he still running?) as the contenders for the crown. Fred Thompson is reportedly hoping another Law and Order spinoff starts so he can land on his feet.
No word on Billl Keightley’s thoughts, whether Jodie Meeks was too injured to vote or which way Jai Lucas is leaning….
