3 The scrutiny of that scandal definitely fails the “if this happened at UK” test…because we ALL know if that happened at UK it would be on the front page of major newspapers and probably compete with the Penn St. scandal for TV coverage

Does internet radio count (i.e. I Heart Radio) in the ratings? I am a woman – an attorney – age 18-35 – and I tune in every day that I am not absolutely overwhelmed with lawyer stuff but I have to listen via internet. Your show is great! I truly feel like I stay in the UK loop of information by listening to you all and checking the website. Keep up the great work and if you are ever in need of another attorney to jump ship and enter into the UK radio business, I would be more than happy to oblige. Maybe an 18-35 year old woman on the radio would help the demographic? GO BIG BLUE!

To use a common phrase of the show “Matt, I love you” but I like my pregame show to include acutally knowledge about the upcoming game, opponents, and OUR OWN TEAM! Sending Drew to ride around the tailgate to see how many hot chicks he see’s eating hotdogs is not a pregame show. I am a fan of your show and love the randomness. Just don’t know as a football fan if that’s what this program needs. ryan lemond got it right. that wasn’t so much the winds in law but how they happen. We weren’t even competitive. many fans just want to watch a good football game the program didn’t give that last year

WHY SHOULD ANY FAN SUPPORT A PROGRAM THAT WILL NEVER ASPIRE TO WIN MORE THAN 7 GAMES? UNTIL THE PEOPLE THAT RUN THE UK FOOTBALL PROGRAM CARE ABOUT WINNING,WHY SHOULD ANY FAN BUY SEASON TICKETS? WILL THE UK ADMINISTRATION EVER GIVE THE FANS A REASON TO WANT TO SUPPORT THE PROGRAM?

MAtt I dont think you are very much underestimating TA&M and Mizzou…. yes, the SEC defenses are good… but mainly, you are talking about 2 teams, LSU and Alabama. NO ONE in the SEC has a “high powered” offense, its all smash mouth football. The last team that was prolific and had a THROWING QB was UGA with Stafford and AJ Green. Arky was fairly good, but had no defense. Mizzou and Texas A&M may be more successful than you think… it will be interesting to see the outcomes…

Joker asked UK strength coach if any freshmen O-linemen are strong enough to help. Answer: “They’re as strong as the guys that just left.”

Matt, Joker repaced Brooks a year early partly because they wanted Joker to have a chance to start off with a good team. Last years team was supposed to take a step back and go through some growing pains. What they didn’t expect was Cobb leaving early (IMO) which made the team struggle more. I’m not saying Joker is the answer and lean more towards that he is not. That said, I think a lot of people (myself included) may have expected more of that team than they should. Joker did himself no favors by pumping up the team last year though.

Joker handled Randall Cobb terribly. The guy was a freak of nature and he would go long periods of time without getting the ball. Joker lost me that year because of his improper usage of Cobb. Cobb needed the ball in his hands and Joker refused to let him dominate the offense.

You got me remembering that team two years ago and it has only reinforced my belief that this year’s team may go down as one of the worst teams in the history of the school. I predict three wins at most and a loss to Kent or Western.

This is why, for the most part, there is no change with our football program. As soon as we talk football, we drift off to thinking and talking about basketball. That is just the culture of UK sports.
