Just a tip for the Team, when there is a situation where it’s 3rd and long, you will not be able to get a first down unless you pass it over the first down marker. I just hate it when we dump it for one yard and fall down or get tackled long before we have a chance at achieving that first down. Play smart football today! Go Blue.

Decent video. Decent dialogue. Awful choice is who’s speaking. Not intimidating or exciting at all.

Jarmon’s audio sounds like it was recording by a Talkboy under his shirt.

UK Football needs to hire a PR agency.

Not really inspiring. Not really great audio quality either. IMO- the video of Joker’s pre-game speech has much more of a passionate plea for the fans and would be a MUCH better intro.

What 17 said. Better yet, get Cal to put something together.

I’m sorry but that was completely lame. The people who do the marketing for the football team must be undergrads at UK, because all their stuff looks like it was thrown together by someone doing a class project in Intro to Marketing.

Terrible, why can’t they get the intro right? How hard is it?

9-summed up the offensive play calling creativity that has been the Joker Phillips era so far. The dumps/flicks/WR screens are not effective as your “go to” for 3rd and long in the SEC. I know we don’t have all world class athletes at all play-making positions, but we have to mix it up and that means be creative and play to the strength(s) of the personnel in those positions. If we don’t at least strive to do that……it’s gonna be a long, long season.

    Go Cats!

#9 and #22. when it’s third and long, the defense brings extra pressure. when the defense brings extra pressure, you dont have as much time to throw. when you dont have as much time to throw, you cant throw down field.

please stfu. go back to worrying about whether cal wiped his @$$ this morning.

These videos suck. They get me as excited as the idea of sitting through a baby shower during the super bowl. Are these “official” videos? If that’s the case, how can UK spend money on those? Just get some fans to make videos – they will end up 10x better.

    Awful.

Typical lackluster production. Should match the play on the field.

23-your reality must be different than mine. Creativity means not being predictable. By half time of the second game last year all teams on our schedule had enough tape to set up third down defenses. I’m just saying….

    Big simple-minded muh……

And stop this cal back side obsession….makes southern gentlemen on any site look bad.

Look, we all love UK and many of us went there and follow this program through the ups and downs… This video is Super Lame though… What a difference… Think of the video before tip and the start of the 2nd half at Rupp… Gets the juices going… You get jacked up, even goosebumps at times. It also draws on history and many of us can remember many moments replayed… Those moments draw on greatness, which UK football can’t… UK does such a poor job of branding this football program… it’s just really awful… Gets treated like the ugly duckling… Pick the best moments, the best highlights, the best Mike Leach voice overs and some dramatic music… Keep it simple but highlight what has been (albeit few moments) and could still be! Step it up and promote the program more effectively!

#30-I know the two guys that put those Rupp videos together. They were extremely talented and had a great feel for UK video production. Too bad, because KentuckyVids is just downright awful now. Go search Youtube or Vimeo to see how other D1 schools present their teams, it’s embarassing to compare. That’s what UK gets for hiring a wedding videographer to run their video department.

Every single thing this school does for football looks like it was done on the cheap. We play in the greatest football conference on earth, there is no reason for them to make any attempt at originality, just go copy what the other schools are doing. I promise, if you do this, everyone will be far happier, and we won’t continue to look like a complete joke. For starters, go look at Bama’s intro, it looks like it was created by a Hollywood studio. Figure out who made theirs, and have the same folks make ours.

#33- if this is the intro you are referring to then i dont get your point. I don’t find this exciting or good for that matter.
