Watch Mark Stoops’ first press conference from spring football
We’ve seen him shake hands, kiss babies and feed the hype machine all winter, now it’s time for Mark Stoops to coach football. The first year head coach met with the media today following his first football practice at UK and Kentucky Wildcats TV has video from the press conference.
Watch as Stoops discusses what he expects from practice this spring in a recap from Day 1, which he called “encouraging.”
Go Cats.

http://nbadraft.net/2013mock_draft not looking good for poythress and goodwin
“Had a clue”……
setting the bar pretty low there. You can tell he’s going to want to temper expectations this first year without a full roster of his players.
KSR…give us a bracket contest with free tickets to next year…cant wait to see Wiggins in blue
Stoops Very “Open” in his comments in this (and others) presser.
Just wish we could Hear the questions clearly.
I am confident that things are in good hands on the football field. It would sure be helpful if Stoops would repeat the question before answering.
#1……good lord! I am not surprised, but Poythress did not even get mentioned on the mock draft.
If New Orleans takes Nerlens…..WOW!
The look on Stoops’ face says there are some serious talent and depth issues with this roster. It’ll take a few years, but Stoops will make us competitive. A couple of years from now, we’ll be in the mix for the SEC. Get em going Marky.
It may take a few years to get the win/lose column where we want it, but I think you will see a difference on the field right away. The guy breeds confidence with the way he goes about his business and players respond to that with more effort and better execution.
we will win 7 games and go to a bowl. last coaches didnt do too bad of a job recruiting they just could not coach.
wins:
1.al. st
2.louisville
3.west kent

7.missouri
? miss st is a toss up!
This dude is a COACH……..imagine that…..
I like this dude. Coach Stoops speaks plainly. It’s encouraging to listen to his answers to all of the questions and his demeanor in general. GO CATS!!!
#7, Agreed Stoops is being very cautious with his comments because now he knows how bad the previous coaching staff did with training and recruitment. I just hope we can hold on to him long enough before he jumps ship back to FSU as the HC. Its got to be in his plans to do so I ould think.
