Watch Cal and Co. Preview Mississippi State

The Cats’ win over Missouri opened up a whole new world of possibilities, not just for the NCAA tournament, but for the SEC championship race as well.  Right now, the only thing standing in our way is Mississippi State.  Check out Calipari previewing the game for yourself above.  Highlights include the Julius Mays quote (“I am my mother’s son and I refuse to fail.”), motivating his team, and operating in a team mentality.  Check out videos by Wiltjer and Polson after the jump.

Cats take on Rick Ray’s team at 8 p.m., with Andrew Wiggins present.  Get your chants and signs ready.

Check out this 11 year old who is playing varsity basketball with 18 year olds. When the Fox reporter ask him where he wants to go to school after high school, he says Kentucky!!

    1) It’s all well and good he wants to come here, assuming he continues to develop, but it won’t matter unless he continues to grow, too. He ends up 5 foot and it’ll be hard to get on anywhere.

    2) I agree, it’s just amazing the Coach Cal/UK influence that has spread across the nation! It’s great that 11 year old players are already thinking UK

If UT gets to top 50 RPI, how much will that help UK since UK will have 1 more top 50 win?

4 – It’s good and bad, because while it would add another top 50 win, Kentucky will be battling with UT on the bubble to get into the tourney now. Tennessee now has better wins than us too. ouch.
