Jason King of Yahoo!, or Rivals, or whatever it is, named his Midseason All-American teams today and, in news that will shock no one, a couple of Cats make the list. Blue Jesus is on the first team, of course, and is joined by a bunch of fools who won’t be drafted first when the time comes in June. The other first teamers are: Damion James, Texas; Frankenstein, Notre Dame; Wesley Johnson, Syracuse and Sherron Collins, Kansas
Patrick Patterson finds himself on the second team, along with three people I’ve never heard of and Duke’s leading white boy. An honor, indeed. Joining Patterson on the second team are: Quincy Pondexter, Washington; Jon Scheyer, Puke; Ekpe Udoh, Baylor and Jacob Pullen, Kansas State.
The third team features some more familiar names, as Dexter Pittman of Texas, Cole Aldrich of Kansas, Da’Sean Butler of West Virginia, Klay Thompson of Washington State and Zah-vee-ay Henree of Kansas make up the guys who aren’t as good as the guys who aren’t as good as the other guys.
Peyton Siva was named to the 381st team.
