Very Random Football News

It’s that time of the year when select seniors around the country are acknowledged for their four years of commitment by being invited to play in all-star games that no one has ever heard of. This year, the Casino Del Sol College All-Star Game in Tucson came aknockin’ and they offered roster spots to both Chandler Burden and Anthony Mosley. A big congratulations to both those guys!

Burden and Mosley will play for the Stars as they take on those pieces of crap, the Stripes. I’m sure you’re all wondering who will be coaching the former Cats and if any of you were guessing recently fired Ole Miss coach, Houston Nutt, then you were dead on the money. Casino Del Sol is all about the charity cases.

The game will be played on Monday. We’ll see you in Arizona.

    Okay… back to basketball.
The storyline that everyone (Herald, ESPN, KSR, etc) took on the Auburn game is faulty. Everyone is saying that we hit threes and made offensive plays to pull out a large run to put the game away. Hardly! Our scoring output was constant throughout the game. It was our defense that stepped up, allowing only six points in the last eight minutes. This fact is getting no print.
