The first hour of this morning’s radio show is one the KSR gang would like to forget. The first 5-10 minutes went off without a hitch, and then we completely lost our signal just as Matt started telling the story of getting crop dusted in a hotel lobby. After 20 or so minutes of jiggling cords and yelling at each other, we realized the Hudson Toyota in Madisonville (which is a great place to buy a car) is in a spot that can’t pick up Verizon, therefore the show was doomed.
The crowd hung in there
So, Matt and I walked outside and stood on opposite ends of the car lot to do a segment by cell phone to wrap up the first hour, while the fine folks of Madisonville who came out stayed inside to listen through Hudson’s radio in the lobby. It was quite the sight to see.
Golden Glaze donuts!
Luckily, the Madisonville radio crew rigged up a landline for us and we were back in business for the second hour — or the first, depending on how you look at it. You can find that hour in today’s podcast. We talked about Big Red soft drink, Keith Clanton, UK’s quarterback situation and anything else we could squeeze in before time expired.
Have a listen…
