Kevin Stallings is having a really bad day

sadstallings

If you think you’re having a bad day, imagine being Kevin Stallings. Not only is the West End Taco Bell out of Cool Ranch Locos Tacos, buttwo of Vandy’s top returning players are no longer on the team. Jeff Lockridge of the Tennessean is reporting that starting wing Kevin Bright has signed a pro contract with a German team AND junior point guard Kedren Johnson is no longer on the team or enrolled in school.

Johnson was Vandy’s leading scorer last year, averaging 13.5 points and 3.6 assists. He had surgery on his shoulder during the offseason, but was expected to make a full recovery in time for this season. Johnson spoke to Lockridge, and said that the matter was related to “student conduct,” and referred to the situation as a “suspension,” implying that the situation may only be temporary.

Bright traveled to his home country of Germany last week to be with his ailing mother, and while there, explored his opportunities with the Fraport Skyliners, who are based in Frankfurt. He agreed to a two year deal, which means his collegiate career is over. In his freshman year at Vandy, Bright averaged 6.9 points and led the team with 5.5 rebounds per game.

Don’t worry, Kevin. There are eleven Taco Bell locations in Nashville to get you through this.

UPDATE: Vanderbilt just announced that Kedren Johnson has been been suspended for the entire 2013-2014 season. He also won’t be enrolled in school, but will have the option to return for the 2014-205 season.

The SEC just got a little easier.

Not many coaches in the SEC left to hate. But Stallings is one of them. Such a baby. Can’t say I’ll shed a tear for him.

Looking better and better for us running the table. Never liked playing at Vandy no matter how much better we are. This helps and we shouldn’t have to be worried about vandy but with their home court advantage and the refs also giving them 20 more ft’s.

I swear the sec is turning into the big east football version of basketball. Makes me sick almost, doesn’t seem that long ago the sec always had 5 to 6 tournament teams year end and out. Now it’s UK Florida Tennessee and a bunch of suck

Dang son. Suspended for one year? He musta done something baaaad. Ole Roy woulda had him out on the court before conference play…no matter what it was. I think that will be proven soon enough.

Stallings is just being coy. He has some football players ready to go once the bowl games are played.

Vandy in the Sweet 16 next year. Book it! No brainer.

12 are you just naturally dumb or has your head hit stallings and Franklin’s headboard to many times? Do you not understand the sec as a whole is awful, I don’t mean grandma’s stinky breath awful.I mean grandpas nasty farts after a couple bowls of homemade chilli and some pickled Bologna with crackers awful! Only UK and Florida have a shot at getting to the sweet 16 and I highly doubt Florida will since that walker kid was ruled ineligible

25 – Just curious, what do you hear about their summer workouts that makes you believe that. I never get on UL boards so I don’t hear about what is going on with things like summer workouts over there.

Laughing is catching!! We shouldn’t be making fun of Vandy for losing players. Come next may it won’t be funny when we lose 5 or 6 plaryers. Yall will be crying like babies. I want them to have all their players so we can beat’em like drums.
