While the rest of the world spends their time caring about Soccer, in the United States we care about minors playing basketball. The team that Cal traveled to Germany to see has continued to dominate their opponents, beating Austrailia 105-70 last night. While the big star of the game was Brad Beal, who has verballed to Florida, Kentucky commits Marquis Teague and Michael Gilchrist, along with recruit Tony Wroten Jr. were also contributing factors to the win. Teague finished with 10 points and a game best 8 assists, while Wroten had an off shooting night, but managed to finish with 11 points, 7 assists, and three steals. Michael Gilchrist received limited time, but did finish with 5 points, 3 boards and 2 steals, well below his average.
With the victory last night, Team USA moves on to the medal round, and will play Canada tonight at 7pm for a chance to make the winner of Poland vs Lithuania for the Gold Medal.
We wish our future Cats the best of luck as they bring home the Gold for the United States.
