Update On Randall Cobb’s Thumb

Coach Brooks said today that he believes Randall Cobb will play against Vanderbilt.  Cobb did not play against Eastern Kentucky after spraining his thumb in Thursday’s practice.  The injured thumb is in a cast, but the good news is that it is not fractured and there is no tear in the ligament.  Brooks said it is just a matter of giving the thumb time to heal.  I guess we’ll know more as the week progresses.

Also, tight end T.C. Drake has a groin problem and will undergo an MRI tomorrow morning.  Trevard Lindley re-aggravated his ankle injury, but there is no real swelling and it doesn’t appear to be too serious.
