So with the big game just two weeks away, an eager reader in Lexington has noticed that the Cards are trying to invade on the Big Blue territory. According to a reader, this billboard has been placed inside Lexington, next to Newtown Apartments just this week, likely in anticipation of the game. It is blue for some strange reason and is an attempt to place some Louisville mojo on Kentucky turf (which was also done by putting Card games on WTVQ in Lexington….a sin that the ABC affiliate should not be forgiven for any time soon).
Now, I know that the Louisville counter will surely be that Kentucky has placed many billboards in Lexington and that is most definitely true. But there are Kentucky fans in Louisville, and no Card fans in Lexington, at least that I know of. Lexington is UK territory and this move into the city has to be seen as pursuit of reckless aggression. Now I would never condone acts of senseless vandalism, but one does have to wonder what would happen if the true UK fans made their feelings known about the billboard. It certainly could be entertaining.
Either way, this has to be seen as an act of war by the Dirty Cards and should be used by the football team as motivation for the game in two weeks. The Cards can take our ex-coaches, they can replicate our poor hirings (Krag is the new Clyde), but they cant take our city…that must be stopped!
