Don’t let reality get in the way of a good reason.

why did they not be totally honest with him? Tell him to come to UK and be at bottom of barrel in SEC, and shoot any chance of going to NFL. Love reason #100. had to laugh out loud over that.

The talent at Keeneland? the horses? the betting analysts? What exactly are we selling on this one?

Is Ashley Judd really a good reason to come to UK? Why would an 18 year old care lol?

Drew Barker come on down!…….Its too bad Ashley Judd is a UK fan. Couldn’t we have picked a better movie star? How about Clint Eastwood?…He’s a conservative…He could make our day!

    #6 I got it, thanks.
#5 I was wondering the same thing but for different reasons. Has Ashley been to a Football game since she went to school there? Did she go to football games when she was there?

#3 obviously you don’t watch the NFL. Currently 15 Cats in the NFL Cobb, Stevie Johnson, Tamme, Woodyard, Tevathan, Winston Guy, Myron Pryorn, Corey Peters…etc

First, stop all of the hatred on this site! UK has plenty of high profile NFL players that the youth will know of. UK will not always be a bottom dweller in the SEC, for other teams have made the push.

What I love is that this site is getting flooded with UL fans. Fans of a team that never play anyone, have no room to talk.

    11) The following Lexingtonians are pretty popular or will be (no clue how many/if any are UK fans):

Michael Shannon – you know him from Boardwalk Empire and Pearl Harbor. He’ll next be appearing as Zod in Man of Steel.

Melissa McBride – Carol on Walking Dead

George Clooney – not known for Lexington, but he was born here, I think.

Josh Hopkins – Cougartown – KSR knows all about him.

Reshma Shetty – from Royal Pains, is a graduate of UK (again, no idea if a fan)

Steve Zahn isn’t from here, but he and his wife either live here or have a place nearby, and he’s known to be at least a casual UK fan.

Josh Hutcherson isn’t a Lexingtonian, but he’s a Kentucky boy, and a big fan of UK. Best known for The Hunger Games movies (starring fellow Kentuckian – from Louisville – Jennifer Lawrence, recent Oscar Winner) and the Journey (to the Center of the Earth) movies.

David Akers – He’s not a big name anymore, but he was with the Eagles for a long time and is from Lexington

Laura Bell Bundy – likewise don’t hear much about her anymore

For a longer list of actors from Lexington: http://www.imdb.com/search/name?birth_place=Lexington,%20Kentucky,%20USA

15 is correct, also i am pretty sure the letters lose credibility when one of the reasons is ‘win an SEC championship’…dont get me wrong i am all aboard the stoops bandwagon but it is going to be a looooooong time before uk is gonna be winning an SEC championship. long after drew barker, let’s put it that way.

    18) Personnel, talent-wise, system-experienced and system-fitting, is the biggest problem. But I do believe, with a little trickery and heart, there’s always a chance.

Barker here 3-4 years, let Timmons develop, bring in more playmakers and defensive stoppers each year… Look at what Stoops has done in less than a year, landing some in-state guys and bringing along some guys he had history with. Let’s see what he does with the next few classes.

The East is Florida, USC, Georgia, Vandy, Tenn, Mizzou, and us. If UK can get up for a few of those games, get the Air Raid kicking, you never know what can happen. There’ve been some pretty low win total East teams making the SEC title game. The title itself would be ridiculously hard to get to and win with Florida, USC, and most of the West, but it’s not impossible. We should in no way expect it any time soon, but don’t assume we’ll be doormats. Brooks didn’t have us competing for the SEC title game, but we had our fair share of big games under him. Stoops + Neal Brown is a pretty good combo.

Win a SEC Championship. Regardless, original and unique idea at recruiting. Hope the Cats land, Barker!l

Lofty goals, and I’m all for a championship attitude but how bout we beat WKU first. Gotta start somewhere.

17 – Steve Zahn is more than a casual fan. In fact, I would say he is a more interested fan than Ashley Judd. I really think ashley judd only goes to UK games to get on camera. Has she ever been to a game that wasn’t on national TV? Big Blue Madness? I saw steve zahn at the UK/WKU football game last year and he was decked out in all blue with his kids.

Bwahahahaha. I cannot wait for the season to start and you idiots to be brought back to reality. Ashley freakin Judd is a UK recruiting advantage. Bwahahahaha. How sad.
