UK Hoops stays unbeaten in the SEC with win over Florida

The UK Hoops team ran its SEC record to 7-0 this afternoon with a 57-52 win over Florida in Memorial Coliseum. It was a balanced scoring effort for the team, as 10 different players registered a bucket, led by Keyla Snowden with 11 points and Kastine Evans with 10. Florida battled the whole way, but UK hit 7 of 8 free throws down the stretch to hold them off. The win puts UK’s overall record at 18-2 and keeps them in firm possession of first place in the SEC as they near the halfway point of the conference season.

It also continues a ridiculous run of homecourt dominance for the Kentucky men’s and women’s teams, who now own a 90-2 combined home record over the last three seasons, which is the best in college basketball according to UK Athletics. The men will be on the road for the next two games, but the women will get the chance to improve on that record when they host Alabama next Sunday after visiting Auburn on Thursday. Coach Mitchell’s squad continues to roll right along as they search for their first conference title since 1982.

Nothing bothers me more than when people make comments on a thread that have nothing to do with that thread… The T Jones piece is one more below this one… Go comment there!!! Tough, hard fought win by the ladies today! Though I wish they could find a way to get up by 15 and stay up by 15…

I think Stuart was joking. Nothing bothers me more that when people make comments on a tread that don’t take into consideration the sarcasm or humor that was intended… sorry I couldn’t help it!

The Flordia coach had a classic line at the half when the announcer interviewed her. She was asked what she was talking to the refree about near the end of the first half. Her response, “I just told them to be sure and drink plenty of water because it was really hot in the gym.” Classic line that I have never heard a mens coach come up with.

I’m as sarcastic as it comes, and I appreciate good dry humor. My point was that I see it all the time where people comment on different posts that have nothing to do with the post…

UK Rifle lost to TCU Rifle and now has 1 loss, but not to dwell on it as UK’s next opponent is the dirty rotten mountaineers of West Virginia. We knocked these folks out of the National Championship and brought it home last year, so get the BBN hate on for the rematch this year. The match is 02/01/12 and sadly we must trudge to Morgantown for the ENTIRE day, but anything less than conquest means I can no longer claim domination in my user name. Please protect my name, and keep us on top by telling the UK Rifle team you at BBN have their back!

UK women, way to go! now lets win at Auburn and return to Memorial next sunday to take town the Crimson Tide! BBN lets fill it up again!

Cousins Fake Teeth : ((90+2) / 3) / 2 = ~ 15 home games per season per team (this will rise as this season is not finished yet)

Oh, and I notice that people have been coming up with so many guidelines for this site lately. Don’t comment on this, do comment on that, use good grammar, don’t cuss, be nice to Ashley and Terrence, don’t be nice Beisner when he puts up a post on Siva. Makes me wonder if KSR stands for Keep Setting Rules.

Way to go Hoops team. We kept getting the game interrupted by some dumba** movie here in Louisville. Called insight to complain and they said it was the broadcasters fault.

Wave better fix this, or we won’t watch their news anymore
