UK Gets WR/DB Commitment

af

If there is one thing the Cats need, it is wide receivers and Kentucky added another one on Tuesday night. Rivals.com reports that AJ Legree, a WR/DB from Florida planned on committing to Joker Phillips and the UK staff. Legree is 6’0″, 180 pounds and is ranked as a three star WR. He picked Kentucky over South Florida and Iowa State and has been a late rising player, with interest from Arkansas and Clemson in recent months. Rather than wait for an offer from those schools, he picked the Cats. Below is a video of his highlights:

To be a WR/DB in freakin Florida and get a 3-Star means this kid has some kind of chops. A lot of competition down there.

He looks good, but like rh3toric said, I wouldn’t be surprised if he decommitted in the future.

Devante Parker is a beast – kid will play on Sundays IMHO

It won’t happen, but Towles to Quick would be an epic combo!

Looks like he brings something to the table that our wide recievers lacked this year….the ability to catch the ball. Good pick up. 🙂

I’m sorry, but to compete in the SEC…we need to be reeling in more than decent three stars, what more is Joker going to do next year? Now I’m not saying I expect us to be LSU status ever, but do be a mid/high level contender, something has to dramatically change. I mean we bring in a handful of unknown 3-star recruits and maybe a couple of 4-stars, and it is asking way too much of our marquee recruits to turn our program around in the state it is in. What can fix that? Money that needs to buy a new coach. The billboard on the way back to Louisville from Lex might was well say “We’re Smiles Ahead”
